Location & trigger
Chaos Pillars are map events activated by clicking the pillar. They spawn a monster wave with modifiers. Common and uncommon pillars are freely accessible, while Rare, Epic, Satanic and Angelic pillars require a Chaos Key.
Inputs & operating steps
Chaos Keys come from random key loot while exploring. Use a Chaos Key to unlock a rarer pillar and defeat its modified monster wave for a loot roll. Azazel’s Despair element variants require the base item and the matching Act Boss Soulgem rather than dropping as ready-socketed variants.
How this source differs
Mimic is another Soul Collector source. Chaos Tower is a multi-floor activity, and Rogue Chaos Tower is a Codex-linked boss, so neither is another name for a Chaos Pillar.
Choosing and using rewards
Azazel's Despair is a Heroic Ring requiring character level 1. Its modifiers include +1–3 to All Skills; Sockets 1.
Soul Collector is a Unholy Charm requiring character level 100. Its modifiers include +3–6 to All Skills; 3% chance after each kill to cast level 666 Soul Burst; +333–666 to Life; +3–6 to Light Radius; +33–66 to All Attributes.
