Location & trigger

Codex crafting is an ordered socketing operation, not a boss drop or a Tarot Deck draw. Use the compatible Codex base and insert the named Orbs in the listed sequence. The Orb names in the recipe are the inputs rather than optional substitutes.

Inputs & operating steps

Codex of Chaos uses Orb of Doom, Orb of Doom, Orb of Heroism and Orb of Ancient. Codex of Rift uses Orb of Treasure, Orb of Wisdom, Orb of Kobold and Orb of Gladiator. They create different event routes and should not be substituted for one another.

How this source differs

Codex farming supplies random Codex types from Satanic Zones or tier 2+ key dungeons. Tarot exchanges can supply random Orbs, but a random batch does not guarantee the specific Orb sequence needed for a chosen Codex.
