Death is the Act 2 boss in Chilling Cavern, reached from The Glacial Trail (2-5). It is an Act Boss encounter rather than an item-summoned Uber or a separate key-dungeon boss.
Materials & their uses
Death's Sigil is the Act 2 ingredient for Key of Terror. Combine one each of the six Act-boss materials to make that key for Uber Damien. This boss material is distinct from Death’s Soulgem and does not substitute for a gem.
Compare farming routes
The Boss Dungeons page describes an increased-chance area pool, not just Death’s own kill rewards. Key of Terror summons Uber Damien, while Signet of Existence uses different Act fragments for Architect of Ruin. These recipes do not change the difficulty labels on Death’s listed loot.
Difficulty & item conditions
Signet of Harbringer, Death's Infernal Sigil and Death's Soulgem have an Inferno condition. The item’s required character level is an equipment requirement, not a minimum area level.
